Stagehands

Stagehands handle the physical staging work within Construction — moving set elements, set-up + strike of sets, supporting the shooting day with on-the-fly Construction tasks.

What the role does

• Moves + sets up set elements for each shooting setup
• Handles strike + set changes between scenes
• Supports the Construction team on shoot-day Construction
• Coordinates with Stand By Art Director on on-set adjustments

Position

Reports to Construction Manager / HoD Carpenter depending on the work.

SI Competency Framework Level 2 — Foundation. Stagehands often move into trade roles within Construction over time.
