Accounts Trainee

The Accounts Trainee is the entry-level Accounts role. Works under the Cashier or 2nd Assistant Accountant learning supplier processing, cost coding, and the day-to-day Accounts workflow.

What the role does

• Supports supplier invoice processing
• Performs simple cost coding under supervision
• Maintains filing of paperwork — receipts, invoices, payment records
• Observes the Production Accountant on cost report preparation

Position

Reports to Cashier or 2nd Assistant Accountant.

Career progression

SI Competency Framework Level 1 — New Entrant. Path: Trainee → Cashier → 2nd Assistant Accountant → 1st Assistant Accountant → Production Accountant.
