Crane Technician / Remote Head Technician

The Crane Technician / Remote Head Technician is the specialist Grip role for cranes + remote-head camera movement. Requires specific training + certifications beyond standard Grip work.

What the role does

• Operates cranes — telescopic, technocrane, jib
• Operates remote heads — Libra, Scorpio, hot-head
• Coordinates with Director of Photography (DoP / DP) on advanced camera moves
• Reports to Key Grip on integration with broader Grip work

Position

Reports to Key Grip. Often engaged on a day-rate basis as a specialist when the production needs crane / remote-head work.
