Art Director

The Art Director is the senior operational lead in the Art department under the Production Designer. Executes the design vision, runs the workroom + drawing office, and coordinates with Construction on the build.

What the role does

• Translates the Production Designer's concepts into buildable plans
• Runs the drawing office — coordinating Draughtsperson + Junior Draughtsperson
• Supervises set build in coordination with Construction Coordinator
• Manages set budget + schedule in coordination with Production Designer
• Liaises with Set Decorator on dressing
• Supervises Stand By Art Director + Assistant Art Director

Position

Reports to Production Designer. Supervises the broader Art team + coordinates with Construction.
